Converting cali emissions to standard?

Converting cali emissions to standard?

Is it possble to convert a California emmisiions car to a standard package? I assume Just changing the air/fuel sensors to O2 sensors won't work. This would leave me to believe there is a different computer in the car. Is this true?

hmm... why would you want to change it? Cali has stricter emissions laws than most other states, so you should be fine anywhere else.

Because these A/F sensors are 320 per, and calif emmision are restricting.

I dont think its much. In performance, I think the 3.0 V6 was 198HP in Cali and 200HP elsewhere.

I dont know if theres anything else that goes along with that though.

well its deff. not payin a lot of money for. if its a DIY without payin anything i'd do it. but i guess since you have to buy new O2 sensors, that is not worth 2 extra hp. :D
