TRD Exhaust question?

TRD Exhaust question?

Postby Jai_Jai_Binks » Fri Feb 27, 2004 3:01 pm

Everyone i've spoken to has told me to use the nuts+bolts that are provided with - when purchasing a new TRD Exhaust....Question: What if i don't have the new nuts+bolts???? (got a used exhaust!!)

I'm assuming that the OEM nuts+bolts are spring like bolts...I plan to use the same OEM bolts for the my TRD exhaust...is my thinking/theory flawed...or is there something special about the trd bolts....? Or another way to think is to use a new bolt everytime you tigenten the system...(like a gasket). Who would sell me the similar sized bolts? and what is the sizing?

I plan on doing this setup this weekend...i know its kinds last minute notice here...but suggestions welcome...

take it to a muffler shop so they can help you get the right size bolt if needed. just in case no one else responds.

I took it to a muffler shop and got it installed there...overall (including taxes) the installation costed me close to $43 bucks...not bad...It sounds a lit' deeper, but not a fartcan! BTW: the bots were a different sized ones - in case someone needs to know...the one's on the OEM were a tad bit shorter..the one's i installed were a bit longer...(or maybe thats how they muffler shop make money..they charged me $4.5 for the bolts and washers). Thanks to all who replied! :)
