There's prolly a few ppl who can photoshop it for you, but I can tell you that a lot of people have painted their grills. If you go to the DIY section, you'll find a thread by TITO that describes in great detail the process for stripping and painting, even adding mesh if you feel like it. For future reference, try hitting the search button in the top right corner and see what you can come up with.

I had the same idea on my 99. I want to do something with the grill just not mesh. I thought if I painted it red to match the car, that would look good. I don't know how to do that in photo shop. -JoeB

Before I got one of Tito's mesh grills, I painted my grill to match my white Solara. I kept the "chrome" frame and Toyota symbol but painted the black portion of the grill. I think it really makes the car look better, but since you have a gold Solara, I would definitely atleast paint the chrome frame since silver and gold don't mix IMO, and then maybe paint the black interior gold, but that might be gold overkill. Either way, good luck to you!

I think painting the chrome trim matching your car color which is realy desert sand would look pretty good; however, I don't know about the inside stuff. My Sienna is that same color. I'm thinking of protecting my mesh material with some rustolium (silver?) still deciding on the color myself, and clear coat paint. I do want to keep the chrome trim.

Keg-Of-Iron, THANKS man! I really appreciate that! I was just trying to imagine it and thought it would look good. I like it and think I'll just do it. It was very generous of you to spend the time to do that for me. Thanks again -JoeB

It's hard to mess up black and you can spray it yourself.
