:bday: Greddy EVO2 Released for Gen 1 Solara!! :bday:

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with Neil from www.morepowerracing.com to track my order for the Evo exhaust and he said that someone before me got the last Evo they had in stock so he told me that he ordered the new EVO2 version2 in (FULL stainless steel) for me at the same price! (What a hook-up!!) I was like what the? EVO2? He said Greddy just released it last week. So I'm getting this delivered in about 2 days. Just wanted to share the news. . . Here is some more info on the EVO2...
Anyone want one? Call him up @ 877-438-3939 Tell him Louis sent ya. Can't promise a price but he WILL get you the lowest price shipped compared to any other vendor. Trust me I searched high and low and he was THE one to beat all prices.

"Greddy's newest exhaust system which features 304 stainless steel for the robotically seam-welded muffler canister, 1.5mm, polished 304 stainless steel, mandrel bent piping, and lightweight, flared, and stamped stainless steel flanges. It is also improved for internal construction for greater durability and longevity. More Power Racing also includes a 3 year warranty."

I wonder how much a performance difference there is between the original Greddy EVO exhaust and the new EVO2?

Here's what their web site says:

NOW IN FULL STAINLESS STEEL ! Inherent in its name, the EVO2 cat-back exhaust system is a huge step forward. In addition to the GReddy straight-through technology, offset tip design and large piping diameters of the original EVO, the EVO2 is now offered in full stainless steel providing improved looks, durability and corrosion resistance while maintaining the best qualities of the original such as fitment, sound and performance.

Hmm they don't list Solara on their page though?

I was going to get the evo for $473 shipped and thats the price he left it at. He said its about $50.00 more. The evo 2 for the celica is $483.00 shipped so its not that much of a difference. I also noticed its not on Greddy's website. I don't know how fast they update the website though. It was just released last week. I will belive it when I see it as I also am in a state of shock.
I asked him like 3 times are you sure its for the Solara? He said yes and that I was luky and that I was going to love it. :-? Funny cause he said 99-00 but what about 01? is that year not the same Gen1 for fitment? When I get this I will know. I'll get some sound clips and vids by the end of this month.

Most of the EVO exhaust systems will be replaced with the New full stainless steel SP 2 and/or EVO 2 exhaust system. Please check with your nearest authorized dealer or look under the SP 2 and/or EVO 2 section of our exhaust systems for your vehicles applications.

v6 and 4-banger exhausts are the same except for 1 thing... (I'm not sure about the 5S difference)

The 2AZ doesn't have an o2 sensor in the mid piping. We only have 1 at the exhaust manifold!

I'm assuming the 5S one is identical since no one has mentioned how to plug the o2 sensor hole in the piping
1GR-FE ftw!

Yep the 5s got the 02 sensor mid pipe like the 1mz.
There are a few 5s peeps here that have the apexi cat back that also is "v6 only."

That's correct. Just the 2AZ guys have the missing sensor problem. Tell us how it sounds when you get it on man.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
