Carbon Fiber Hood

OK, I Got my Carbon Fiber hood today. I had to install the heat blanket, rubber virbration absorbers and I'll need to by two bolt inserts for the hood supports. Other then that it's awesome.

Total weight 12.5 pounds versus the OEM 30+ pounds.

It's too strong for the hood and it will make the outsides bow up

Not many would go for an ECU Jetchip, but everyone is on his own!

Well, I was alittle concerned before I had the ECU upgrade. Now that it's done and tested. Let me say for the record "money well spent"... Hey no guts, no glory!!

The bolts spacing issue was an easy fix. I simply got a router and enlongated the lower hinge mount holes and "BINGO" fits like a glove.

It is a sight to behold. I took a ride an had everyone rubber necking!! LOL

I've got a quick question for ya. What did you have to "modify" on the strut bar to accomodate the boost gauge and the fittings that come along with it?

That one had me concerned at first. After some consideration, I took the bar to a machine and had a half moon shape cut into it. It's about half the width of the bar in depth. We finished the area, a little touch up paint, applied a rubber grommet, just for looks. I then got a 90 degree elbow, and "BINGO".. Works like a charm!!
