I thought i drove alot but i read another post and that guys driving his car silly.

oh and for the rest of the candian folks heres a miles to kms conversion

miles = kms. x 5/8 or kms. x .62 (approx.)
example 5 miles = 8 kms. x 5/8 or 8 kms. x .62
* kilometers (kms) = miles x 8/5 or miles x 1.6
example 8 kms. = 5 miles x 8/5 or 8 kms. = 5 miles x 1.6

so i have 11500 miles so far as of oct 03

shoe

ps no one with 99 - 03s posting high milage thats not what im interested in here

mileage

Postby michaels artic frost » Thu Mar 18, 2004 5:25 pm

I got the car on January 14th, 2004 with 17 miles. I've been taking it easy on the car, since I've got a third car to drive on rainy days, which is a '93 Camry with 190,000 miles, V6 and all powered with sunroof. Thank goodness she's still running smoothly. My Solara's mileage is at 2900. However, that is about to change. I'm taking a road trip this weekend and probably gonna put some miles on it. Gonna take it in for the first oil change after I get back.

Peace...

You should get that oil change before your trip man. You are actually due for one already, on a new car the 1st oil change should be at around 2000-2500 miles. It has something to do with all the loose metal pieces in the oil since its a new engine.

onefiend,

If that is true, then why do many manufacturers state the first oil change is due at 5,000 miles? :-?
