It might be just me but, if a larger oil filter would have benefited the engine better, wouldn't they have slapped on the larger filter in the first place? Its true u get better flow, but you're also decreasing the oil pressure. If you just change your oil at regular intervals, you should be fine. I would recommend leaving it alone with the original filter.

BTW I change my oil every 2K miles with Mobil 1 synthetic and a K&N filter

Nah I drive my car hard so I figure that's the least I can do for it. It's not that bad really, I live on a small island so 2K miles lasts a while, about 2.5-3 months.
