They have Toyota center caps for the IS rims so they dont look riced out on a Toyota. I'm not sure who makes them since Id imagine the market for them is really small, unless theres some other toyota rim that uses the same caps. Ive seen them on a Camry, but not on a Solara. IMO you could do alot better than IS rims, but they dont look bad on a Camry. I dont know if the Solara, being a coupe, would make it different then they would on the IS or Camry though.

Yeah i know exactly what your talking about in terms of there being a center toyota cap, and i have seen them on an 02 camry. I liked the look. They have the set on ebay but im not sure i was going to take that route. I've also seen them on an sc400 and it looked real nice so i thought it would look pretty similar on my black 2000 se v6. Rite now i have chrome 18" BSA rims, but they are way too big to be driving on in the city with all the pot holes and stuff. Any thoughts about the 04 solara rims on a gen 1 solara???? Thanks for all the advice guys

I think you'd be better off just getting aftermarket 17's. The 04 solara 17's look decent but there are other styles out there you can go for.

I got IS300 on my '00 Camry. They look very nice IMO (which is just that - an opinion). They fill the wheel well very nicely on a TRD-lowered Camry...

The problem is they are +50mm offset where you need +42 ideally to fit the widest tire. I had to get 5 mm spacers in the rear, because 215/50/17 tires rubbed the struts (this is as close to stock diameter as you can get; the 215/45/17 that comes OEM on the IS300 rims is smaller than Solara/Camry OEM and several folks have them without any rubbing and without spacers though).

Front is OK, except that on extreme left turn the driver side tire rubs a little the metal towards the engine compartment - in my case I think the metal is just a bit sticking-out there, because I have no problems on the driver side.

I have the IS300 rims on my solara. I use them as my stocks. I'm looking for those toyota centercaps, but for now, i'll deal with the lexus symbol on there. The only problem that I have is that the back rims are way too in. I'm going to need spacers. I've had 3 sets of aftermarket rims on my car. 17's-19's. I find that the IS rims hold up stronger and, of course, have better quality. Honestly, its your own opinion. You can check it out on my sig below.

krazeee, thanks for the pictures.... been trying to find someone with those rims on a solara.. I think they look good, and better than the black ones you had on there. Why do you need spacers? whats the size of the tires you have on them? Once again, thanks for your help.

Kocho, if i understood you correctly, 215/50/17 will require spacers, but 215/45/17 should be good without spacers, and no rubbing?

I have 215-50-17. If you want the back rims to stick out more, your gonna have to get spacers. They ride fine now, i've heard of some people say that the rims rub against your strut, but i haven't seen that problem yet. Spacers don't really have anything to do w/ tire sizes. I'm still searching for those toyota centercaps...don't feel rite with these lexus ones on..hahhaa

It probably depends on the tire brand too, as diferent brands/models tires have slightly different cross-section widths. I have Continental ContiExtremeContact 215/17/50 and they rub the struts in the rear. With another brand it may not be an issue...

In my case it required at least 3mm spacer to eliminate the rubbing (I put 5 because could not find a 3 mm at the time). The reason the lower profile 45 tires don't rub is that their sidewalls bulge out less than the 50 and this is enough to not cause rubbing.

I think the IS300 rims look better on a Camry than on a Solara, IMHO :). Sorry - no good pictures...

Kocho, I think the rims look great on your car, but not for nothing, they are real nice (IMO) on the solara, and hopefully will look even better on my black solara when i get them.

I put the 04 Solara rims on my 00 a few months ago. I have 215/50/17 Kuhmo KH11's on the car and had to use spacers in the rear due to rubbing.

Picture was taken right after I took the car off the jacks, suspension has settled down alittle since then, looks much less like an ATV now.
