dash trim kits

hey T-power,
i would if i had a digital camera, plus my buddy took off the dash trim kit because it looked that bad. he got his from autoaccessories and to tell you the truth, the kit didn't cover the entire part it was suppose to. I mean, you couldn't tell from looking at it straight on or from a distance, but as soon as you looked at it from an angle, you could still see what was lying underneath. also, you should know, that the kit will overlay on the oem part with a little bit of height...i'm talking 1 or 2/16th of an inch off of the part (hopefully that made sense). personally, after seeing my buddies, if i was gonna change my interior, i'd just spray paint it.

I got mine from Alkaplus. Its the burlwood (Gen 1 match) I used about 70% of the pieces maybe, and the ones I put on fit pretty well, except for two peices. The first was the piece around the front cieling console where the map light and the sunroof switch is. That kept clipping on my sunglass holder thing, but I just used a hairdryer to stretch it a little and its fine now. The other one was the part that goes on the black piece surrounding the gauges. That one fit closer to one side than the other, probably because I didnt fit it right (I tried to mount it flush with the other rim on one side, but it probably wasnt meant to be mount flush.) I could probably fix that with a hairdrier too since thats a thin piece and is probably pretty strechable, but I havent got to it yet. All the other piece I used fit perfectly. Also, the pattern is a very good match for the stock door trim. I've gotten complements from anyone whos noticed it, and everyone thinks it came factory that way, unless theyve rode with me before I got the trim. I think certain pieces would stick out, like the huge piece by the center cupholders and the cupholder covers, so I left them off. Im really happy with this one, but I probably paid a little too much for it (Around $130 when I got it). I just got my digicam this week, and will probably work on putting up my cardomain sometime soon, so I'll post picks when thats all done.

BTW I have tan interior. Im not a big fan on the wood on charcoal, but its alright. I think its great on tan though, but its more of a "luxury" than a "racy" look, which kind of fits my preference better anyways.
