PCV valve

when I had my engine rebuild they put total seal piston rings into the engine, lately I have been getting oil into my intake from the hose that goes to the valve cover... I called total seal and they told me that the PCV valve needs to be replaced and if that doesn't cut it out all the way I would need to get an orphus? he said its a hose w\ a hole in it to cut back on vaccume pressure.. he said that the pressure is too great so its doing this.. anyone have any information or thought?

I did some more research and im assuming its the same from car to car, and the PCV Valve is just under the valve cover, so all you do is take the valve cover off, and its right there.. does anyone know if u need to buy the valve cover gromet also?? thanks

p.s. anyone know how to lower the vacuum pressure even more by adding other parts? thanks

incase anyone was actually following this... I called around and found out that either the hose from the back set of heads was either plugged, or the PCV valve is clogged... so i'm going to check that... also they said to restrict the hose from the front valve cover by putting a plastic plug into the hose and drilling an eighth in. hole in it... have to make sure the plug won't fit inside of the valve cover... but im going to do this this weekend when im back home.. ill keep u all posted

Im following, its good info... i dont think anyone else has this problem though our board is relativly new because the car is so you may be the first one to experience this? Duno. :roll:

good info. Me follow. Its good that things like this get posted because it raises red flags when you start to notice things that others are going through and know what to do to fix right away instead of wondering and geting costly repairs.
