Plugs don't add performance.
If anything, copper plugs are the best since you change them often and you'd restore the "lost" power more often.
People use Iridium plugs because it may be hard to change the plugs on their applications and Iridium plugs would buy them some more time before they need to change the plugs.
I agree. My roommate showed me some threads on VWVortex forum about the HP claims of different plug manufacturers. They had some dyno charts from before and after plugs were changed after the recommended interval and there was no increase in power.
I have a feeling the plug manufacturers get their HP #'s from replacing a totally worn out, inneffective plug with a new one of theirs, then there might be an increase in power.
I don't think the OEM recommendation or Denso Iridiums will make and noticable difference, but get new plugs before you toss a S/C on because once it's on, you can't get to the rear bank.
