well if you dont want to void the warranty, i suggest you go that route... but yes that is high and thats how dealers get you  *cha-ching* for them!

have you looked into what the process is for the install? on the earlier Gens, for the rears, we have to remove the back seats... depending on how much labor you can price it yourself

good luck! :bday:

haha what bullshit... all the shops have to take the struts out to get the springs out... and they charge a lot less.

Isn't there the Moss act or whatever in the States? I wouldn't worry about getting it done else where if I were you.

Thats BS. Reguardless, your struts are going to blow due to the lowering springs..ask them if your warantee would cover the struts as well.

ICrazyChrisI : Yea they will warranty the struts if they go ,I asked that also. TRD and My dealer both said changing the shocks are not needed on the sport model. Now if you don't have the sport then yes they have to be changed

Heres an email I got from TRD

Thank you for your interest in TRD. Yes, the sport shocks are compatible with the TRD lowering springs. If you feel that the ride is fairly stiff with the stock setup the TRD springs will make it feel a bit more stiffer because of lowering.

We don't have an ETA for a supercharger at this time.

Here's a list of TRD parts for the 04 Solara:

Sport Muffler
Lowering Springs
Drop-in Air Filter
Front Strut Brace
18" Wheel/Tire Set

Please contact your local Toyota dealer for pricing.

Just try to get quote from many dealers if you insist to keep warranty. Basiclly they just estimate how many hour it will take them to do the job. At other speed shops/wheel shops should run from 100-150 install.
