Stereo electrical noise

Hello, I'm new to solara's so bear with me. I used the search but couldn't find and similar issues.

My girlfriend just got a 99 v6 solara, 57k miles, and I have one issue and a few questions.

The factory JBL stereo is experiencing an annoying electrical buzz when playing anything while the dash light are on. Plays fine otherwise, so I assume the dash light circut is somehow bleeding into the stereo signal. Is this a known problem or does anyone have a place for me to start, I don't want to have to start ripping the dash apart aimlessly.

What does the factory 60k mile warranty cover, is it just drivetrain?
What has been everyones experience using regular or premium gas? So far we have just used 87 and have had no knocking or power issues, so I am wondering if it is worth it to use premium (keep in mind my gf is not driving it hard). Also is there a mileage increase by using premium? Thanks, Andrew

On the radio problem, it sounds as though you may have a bad ground in the dash lighting system. That is where I would start looking for a problem.

If I remember right the 99 should have bumper to bumper for 30k and 60k drive train.

If you don’t drive hard, and do not have detonation you should not need premium fuel. If you are interested in keeping the fuel system a little cleaner, a slightly higher-octane fuel may be useful. It has been discussed a couple of times on the fuel issue, so that one you should be able to hunt up. Personally, I drive semi-hard and use 93 octane fuel with my 5S-FE. It also has a full list of breathing mods, so I feel that the higher octane is useful, but some here would disagree. Good luck on getting that radio fixed and welcome to the board.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
