Offset with 19" wheels

Offset with 19" wheels

Hey everyone, I know this has been dicussed before but even with my searches I couldnt find a right answer.
I am going to be upgrading my solara from 18" rims to 19" but the ones that i really like are 19x8.5 which i hear can fit with the right offset. What offset is that? I dont mind rolling my rear fender which im assuming i will also have to do. Ive customized so many other things on the car, whats another. lol The orginal rims i picked were 19x7.5 which would have been perfect but my shop told me that they are or are going to be discontinued so if something happens i cannot replace it down the line.
Also Can i fit a 235/35/19 tire on ? i saw a pic of a 8.5 rim with 225 and the rim was wider then the tire and didnt look right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You might wana try less than +38

Yo what part of Newark you are in? I used to say at 11th street & 2nd ave / right off bloomfield ave.

Talking about newark, you sure you wana go with 19"s with all the pot holes and bad streets?

That tire should fit.

I got 235/40/18 on a 18 x 7 wheel with +38 offset

Im from the ironbound section of newark by Ferry St. I know, im worried about the potholes too because i bent my 18s already but i dont drive my solara everyday anymore like i used to. Now i only drive it on weekends and nice days so i can be more careful. When i bought my 18s i wanted 19s but i was told they wouldnt fit at all, but now i know better so if im going to replace my rims, its going to be with 19s like ive wanted.

O well if thats the case you might as well go for it! Ouch! McCarter Highway is so bad though. Just drive slower on the problem areas you know about.

Good luck!
