anyone know how hard it would be to put a piston back into the block? like what tools you would need, and how to go about putting it back in?

I've only ever helped out on a Ford 5.0 L. You need a piston ring compressor tool.

We also replaced all the main bearing caps. In the end, the car had bad high RPM vibration. It had to be torn apart, put back together by a shop, it was out of balance.

I guess just be real sure you know what you're doing.

well its my old block that im putting it back into.. im not going to use it... I just want to get the pistons back in the block while its being stored... because later on I may bore the engine block out, and run forged pistons.. so.. I want to keep it all together till that time...

just take off the oil pan, and head, compress the rings, slide the piston and rod down, and bolt it on.
1999 Solara V6 5spd 155k miles
TEIN springs. thats it.
