I FINALLY took the spoiler off of my solara!

In my opinion 99-01 solaras looks 98732498327 better without the spoiler. I was thinking about trading the trunk with this dude but didnt work so I just decided put take it off. I thought there were only 2 screws at first.......found out there were 5 :( I have already sealed the holes with paintable water sealent....it's drying up as i type. Once it's dried up, I will paint 051 touch-up paint over it :)
i will post pics later on :)

if you guys are interested in buying the spoiler......i will let it go for 125+shipping.

Maybe you guys are just use to seeing the Solara with the spolier. I think 80% of all Solara's on the road have em, even alot of the base models alot of owners would choose to get the spoiler, its funny cuz sometimes they forget to disable that 3rd light inside and I see them with 4 brake lights. To me it looks good both ways with or without :)

Theres a reason 80% of Solara owners have a spoiler. It just looks good. :)

Mine didnt have a spoiler. First thing I thought , and most of my friends said, was "dude your car needs a spoiler," which I didnt get done til recently.

IMO it looks unfinished without a spoiler, but you got the project done and you got you Sol lookin just how you want it and thats whats important, regardless of what anyone else thinks of it.

You dont got a third brakelight now though....probably wont have a problem with it w/ cops and such, but if you take it to the state inspection place, you'll probably have a problem. If you've been modding for any amount of time, you probably dont go to the DMV inspection station anymore anyways.

i have the 3rd brake light....

i disabled my 3rd brake light when i had the spoiler on because it looked so stupid but now that i took off the spoiler, my 3rd brake light is full swing baby. 99-01 solara without spiler WITH trd kit looks SUPERB!

Would this method of sealing the holes and then using the touch-up paint work on filling the front license plate holes? Or are the holes too deep and wide?

to fill the front license plate holes......u wont even need to use the water sealent. The tuoch up paint would do just fine.

No Thanks Solaradude! It's white and I can get a red one for less then what I would end up spending on yours.

Thanks though. :)

Where did u find the touch-up paint? I found some on trdparts4u.com but I'm not sure if there's an easier way to get it...also I know it will need a clear coat but does 051 require a base coat as well? Thanks!!!
