another frickin' S-AFCII, or something else?

i'd mentioned a couple weeks ago that my S-AFCII is broken. obviously, i can't exchange it unless i:
a)go to Japan where the warranty is valid
b)go to a shop where someone will be nice enough to warranty it for me
c)find the original seller in the group buy i got it from

which i can't really do either of any. sooooooo it looks like i'll either have to purchase ANOTHER frickin' unit, or the Split Second model that Eric has.

any suggestions?

i have no idea. maybe it was because i mounted it front of my gauges perhaps..? iono.

all i know is that i was detailing my car and i let the S-AFCII unit hang, and when i put it back, it wouldn't let me start my car. i found out that the air flow meter wires (white and pink) was interferring with the air flow in a way that wouldn't allow my car to stay started.

i figured maybe when the unit was hanging, the wire inside of the sheath may have broken.

i metered both the white and pink wires with my multimeter, but both are intact.
