Injen Intake - Hose for OBD Canister NOT LONG ENOUGH!

Injen Intake - Hose for OBD Canister NOT LONG ENOUGH!

Postby krzyray » Tue Apr 27, 2004 11:18 pm

Ok so I tried installing the Injen Intake that I just received today. Geeze the stock breather hose is barely long enought to fit - it took freaken forever to get it fit right.

Anyways... all the hoses fit and are long enough EXCEPT for the OBD canister hose (the one that goes into the 12mm stub) :( . It's like 3 inches too short. So I had to put back the whole freaken stock air box.

Did anyone else who installed the Injen Intake have the same problem?

Will Injen give me a longer hose? Or do I have to go to a Toyota dealer or does Pep Boys/Kragen have one?

THANKS

Ok I'll check out Autozone, did you have to buy a longer OBD canister hose and a stock breather hose?

What model/size did you ask for?

Thanks

I just needed a longer OBD canister hose, the stock re-breather hose injen gave me was long enough barely. Just bring autozone the short hose that came with your intake and just tell them to give you one of the same size but longer.

Ok THANKS for all the info everyone. I bought a hose at Autozone, only $1 per foot haha. Anyways I installed the whole Injen Intake tonight, and I do feel the increased power quite a bit (drove it at night). I don't know why everyone says it's not much hp - maybe because I also have a cat-back system.

My car has a really mean growl now 8)

haha yeah I freaked out about the short hose, I was trying to pull the hose but it was just way too short.

I think the CAI extension shipped out today from UPFD. I will check with them. But once I receive it - I will be installing it! Given that I have all the parts I need :P
