Wrong section.

I belive they are a little over 2 inches. Why are you removing the cat. Its going to trip your 02 sensor

Hey if you don't need to do emitions testing go for it. I would not be able to due to emitions every year. Idealy it would give better flow.

I guess you got the hookup on a low key shop to do that or your gona do it yourself cause I don't know any muffler shop that will tamper with emitions equiptment. Federal Law says it's a felony charge here in GA. Good luck...

just take off the muffler and have a straight pipe with a tip. It will pass emissions. I did this to mine and passed no problem in california

We don't have inspection down here and I was going to remove the cat converter and resonator and just have a straight pipe. Can't I just make a hole in the pipe for the sensor to go in?

The o2 sensor after the cat would trip cause there is no cat to mix the outflow to specs programed in the ECU.
Someone said earlier about an o2 simulator?

See for Prowlerartist's case all he did was remove the muffler. He still has his CAT and resanator. The o2 sensor is between the cat and resanator. All the muffler does is supress/silence noise. He will be fine with his setup. Why? The o2 sensor detects the outflow after the cat and determines if everything is ok (emitions wise). Therefore, if you got the funds to keep adding/removing the CAT every year or however often you need to do emisions then by all means replace the CAT with a pipe.
