OMG... leaking TRD strut

OMG... leaking TRD strut

Postby esculatus » Sun May 09, 2004 12:34 am

I am so disappointed at this quality backed by TRD. The bilstein strut I purchased from TRD dealer 2 years ago started to leak. I am going to call up TRD next week and see what I can do?
Does anybody know if there the struts are covered under the TRD warranty? and how long?

Thanx

i believe only if installed by a toyota dealer.... or have a receipt of a professional install shop... thats the only way TRD willmost likely refund you or replace with no charge

I called up TRD and they said the policy is 1 year warranty. So no luck there.

Then I called up Bilstein and they said No also. But.... they told me the leaking is normal because the struts leak on purpuse to keep the suspension lubricated ???? hmmm

Well maybe it was a hard dip that caused it.
