Get a good h/u and plug in a mp3 player that you can reliably depend on. PICTURE : http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/6/web/390000-390999/390237_4_full.jpg

I guess so. He doesnt have to get that sort of Eclipse h/u, but a less expensive decent one with in AUX in would do well. And if he looks at the purchase of the ipod as a personal expense, and not associated with the car, it'll feel better. lol that was my thought process.

I had really good luck w/ the ebay vendor Sell2All... thats where i got my head (alpine 9815 - $350 shipped) and subs (2 12" infinity ref. - $125 shipped). I highly recommend alpine. I love mine, and everyone I've talked to loves theirs. They're not cheap, but they definitely do the job well. They just came out with a new product line, the 9830 series, so some of their older stuff is dropping in price. I just installed a 7998 in my friends jeep that he got from Crutchfield for $350, down from $800, and they have the worst prices EVER! Look around for a deal, they do exist and can leave you with something better than you thought you'd get.

The one pictured was $420 w/ install. THat eclipse is no low end unit, its the one below the top of the line one w/ 16 v outputs. Maybe u were talking about what price range this guy was looking in? Im confused
