Ok I got the extension today, and I put it in. The angle looks too extreme... guess that's why it was built for the V6.

I would like to use a 2.75" straight silicone turbo hose, but I would need to extend the stock breather hose. Has anyone extended this hose before? Or what should I do to get this hooked up and running?! THANKS

there is a easy solution for this

use the plastic intake pipe that looks like wash machine water hose (black & high heat resistance), but i am not sure where you can buy it. I had one came with my turbo kit before.

Ok cool, who made your turbo kit? Maybe I can ask them what brand they used? Anybody know what the plastic intake pipe that UltraslowSolara is talking about and where to get it?

Yeah it was pretty easy. It fit in perfectly, I just had to unbolt the fuse box and move it slightly when installing it (to make easier to put the extension pipe in the hole).

You can't move the short ram alittle to the right to line up straight and just get a straight turbo silicone 7" long - 2.5" merged to 2.75". ? I guess things are in the way for you to do that? Just get a replacement breather hose that is longer from your local auto shop.

Good luck! Your on a role!

Ok... almost there lol :D

I bought a longer breather hose, now the extension and the short ram are lined up. Except now there is an angle.

I'm probably gonna get a 2.75" ID 45 degree 8" turbo silicone hose (I can always cut it if it's too long). Does that look like that size and angle will fit?

Oh yeah, I will be getting a 2.75" inside diameter tube instead of a 2.5" merged into a 2.75" because both the Injen intake and extension came with 2.75" hoses, so it would make sense to get this size right?

Haha! Almost! You can lift up the extention slightly by adding some thick rubber washer over the current one and then place the nut right over the top. Highly recomend to fit it straight. If need be you don't need to have it lay on the washer at all to get it straight. I will not bang around when you drive. Try that.
Yeah I guess one size will work but it might be bigger on the short ram side and not as tight of a fit no? Only cause turbo silicone hoses are not as flexable as regular ones.

Can't wait to see your results!

Ok I am finally finished!!! Man... the was a long project, but it was fun. Thanks for all the help Louis (solarat). I ended up using a straight 8" long 2.75" ID turbo silicone tube (worked fine).

It was pretty difficult trying to angle the extension but eventally got it. It was also kinda of hard putting the filter on the cold air extension because it kept falling off, I had to to push it on there really hard.

Also, I couldn't mount the extension onto the rubber washer, as you can see in the picture I added some more washers and a little clamp around the rubber washer that came with the extension. It is actually really stable and does not move at all, even though it is not bolted down.

The sound is not as mean at 3 rpm with just the Injen Intake on, but overall consistent and smoother sound - and a lot better performance :P

Dang!!!! It looks very clean and well done!! Good Job!
Isn't it great to see opportunity and execute! This thread is preaty much a DIY for your application haha!

Yeah that filter had to get squeezed on huh. Later on down the line if you were to ever replace it just get one that will fit better. 2.75"

Later bro! and congrats!

Thanks! haha yeah it is pretty much a DIY. If people need more detailed info they can just go to yours.

Actually the filter is 2.75" and it fits on good, its just that it kept slipping down. I had to push it up really hard and clamp it down then it stayed.
