From what I hear, these are crap

It doesnt come with all the necessary parts, and itll decrease performance. These old 4cyls are slow enough as it is.

Injen is the only one to consider really, but even that will decrease performance without a cold air intake extension.

I agree with Jon11582, just go for a K&N or TRD drop-in. The short-ram is worthless. They bring in nothing but hot engine air, which in turn decreases power.

Another eBay intake question. Not good. Someone that has one (not going to mention the name  ) was trying to figure out how they heck to put in the sensors correctly. He took pics and sent them to me and turns out it is not designed to fit the sensors correctly. Injen has a flawless setup. Downside is you will loose low end hp with short ram. Get the Injen short ram and custom connect the CAI extension for the V6! (You can find it here using the search) Then you will gain for sure! There is a DIY in the DIY section for installing the extension if you’re interested. Multiple engine diagnosis shows no issues with the CAI set up!!

Its alot more money, and the gains are not that much, esp for a 4cyl. Not worth it in my opinion, unless you just want a little more rumble under the hood.

[quote="solarat"]Another eBay intake question. Not good. Someone that has one (not going to mention the name  ) quote]

that's me... yea i bought 1. mine's was from procarparts.com. i thought it helped some.... but thats cuz i took out my fog lights and routed an aluminum pipe to the intake making it a ram air system. I also "tried" to put grill mesh in there to cover up the pipe...

well... it sorta came with the necessary parts. i just didn't know what goes where n where goes what. my intake is "customized" to fit. if you are worried bout the then necessary parts, go w/the injen intake. i cheaped out cuz i didn't really care. any short ram seems to be just as good as any other short ram to me. most of them pull in hot air anyways. unless you build an aluminum shield to where it somewhat blocks the hot air. the KNN typhoon intake comes with 1 but they don't have 1 for our car. even then that pulls hot air. i believe that it improved performance but mainly top end since air is required to be forced to the intake. i didn't feel a difference at all when i first put the intake in but once i put the pipe in, i felt a slight increase in my top end power. i feel stock now cuz i just put 2 12s in my car.
