Im not sure if anyone has talked about this yet. I tried to do a search but didn't get the answer i needed.

Anyone ever bought one of these car covers off ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=50456

I was thinking of getting one cuz i park my car at work and its a high traffic area. So this mite protect my paint since i no longer have shade like i use to in the old building i worked at.

Or should i just stick with OEM ones from toyota...

Your comments are greatly appreciated...

i got a california car cover cover for my car and its great. The material is thin like a windbreaker and keeps out all moisture and dirt. I let my car sit outside with the cover on it for 4 months at a time while im in school and my car is perfectly clean when i take it off. I would definitely recommend this. It was arround $300 i think

I bought one of those ebay covers (i am not sure from who)...but it was guised as "made especially for toyota solara"....in all honesty, i wish i would have just gone to a parts store and purchased their covers. (since i have purchased a cover from the parts store for my celica and thru ebay for my solara - teh material is same....and snug fit is the same). rather than paying someone for shipping..i'd recommend hitting up auto shops and checking out what they got..things I'd recommend you checking before purchasing -
1. There is a piece of stiched material that goes and you latch it inside the truck..to prevent stealing...
2. There should be a clip like thingie (where teh two fenders are) to make the cover snugg fit when there is a windy situations...
3. There are groves on the carcover for mirrors.
4. LASTLY..most importantly...by both the door jams...there are precircled loops to have the cover locked..when your away on vacation, etc...(i esp use that when i'm at a different city for overnight motel parkings).
