Has anyone here had any problems when installing rear brake pads? Every shop I go to, pepboys, autozone, trakauto, etc, list a certain size of pads for the 99, 00, and 01 solara (in case my year was off), and none of the pads are correct, they are slightly bigger then the pads i have on there.

midas replaced the pads once, and had the same problem, this is the second time i've had this problem.

Has anyone heard of this before? Is it possibly toyota installed the wrong calliper?

I'm not sure nout the Solaras.but my Camry had the same problem. Check your VIN to see wehre your car was made. J= japan. The Japan and US made models had diffrent pads. Trust me !!! EBC didnt know what the heck was going on. It appears it was hard to find US made Camry performance pads. I had a set of Axxis MM,sent them back. The rotex anf EBC pads I have I couldnt return because I took too long to install them. Lesson learned I will only buy from people that are local when I'm not sure of fitament. Meanwhile I have some 00 Japan made Camry pads for the rear for sale(they also fit the Celica) .
