is it better to drive with the od off or od on
overdrive?

od should b on.

Allows you to go into overdrive(4th gear).
better gas mileage and less strain on your engine

Yes being in overdrive gives better gas mileage. I use it on the freeway. But if you are on the streets and you like better performance (driving fast), I would turn overdrive off so you are in 3rd gear.
