JDM Headlights?

Postby MalBandito99 » Tue May 25, 2004 6:31 pm

All I know is I would lay down max. 500 for a set of HID projector headlights. That's not too much to ask. If a freakin Honda accord coupe can get it, so can the Toyota Solara, its competition.

True. I got the job, and am saving, but I'm still kind of wiped from my sound system install. Nearing another G, maybe I'll put down for the custom headlights, but 500 seems like max for me on them. Its just not worth it afterthat I think. Maybe Ill change my mind on that.

Yeh, but most of those projectors are utter crap. Sure they look good in the day.. or not, BUT the projectors themselves are totally useless, meaning they have horredous beam pattern, alignment, etc

Very true.

They make parts for the Accord because the average driver age is a lot lower than the toyota buyer age (average is like 42 or something LOL)

Projectors, huh?

Postby bluesolara » Tue Jun 01, 2004 11:42 pm

Alrite guys...what's going on...

to WhiteFlash

when you say you want JDm headlights, you're talking about projectors right? well, I don't know if you're looking for that "RICER" look or you are really interested in retrofitting some nice projectors with a genuine HID xenon system...it makes a world of difference.

ALmost ALL JDM headlights, and correct me if I'm wrong, are made up using cheap a$$ projectors that are only compatible with halogen bulbs, and if you're still planning on using the halogen bulb, or ricer blue bulbs, you might as well just keep your current headlights, because it's a waste of money EVEN if they made it. All IMO though...

If you're looking for a OEm HID light set-up, your best bet is to get a extra set of headlights, and get a set of Hella or Philips HID sets (4100k) with some HID projectors (HELLA, VALEO, BOSCH...etc.)

like Chris said, go to WWW.HIDFORUM.COM, there you will find all the information you need to retrofit your headlights. that's the best way to go

Hope I've helped you in some way

all the best to you

God bless

Kevin

JDM meaning Japanese Domestic Market, not APC jdm. Made usually of very high quality components, and also usually w/ HIDs on them already. Example.. headlamps for S2000, Integra, STi, etc..
