Fuel Upgrade Kit installed

Improvement

Postby solrchrgd » Sat May 29, 2004 1:20 am

After driving for about a week now after installing the kit, I could definitely say it was worth the money. Of course I am just going by what I am feeling. I have no numbers to back this up. I was hoping to hit the track this weekend to see if my times improved. I will post if I do make it out there...

8) Could you give us a little detail about what and when you feel different/improved?

Thx

Man, I want to call Jim for one of these. Ever since the CAI extension, it seems like I'm getting too much air and not enough fuel. It sounds like the kit will smooth out the boost through the power band. I hope Jim will have some left in about a month. I just poured all my money into the 04 Solara and new insurance. :( But, it's all worth it. When I save enough to do the URD s/c kit and upgraded pulley, I'll get to run around the in '04 while the '00 is in the shop! :D

BTW, I hear that once Toyota releases their 3.5l motor, they will discontinue the 3.0l. Not like we had a big aftermarket, I hope the 3.3l will get more support than the 3.0l.

From the start

Paladin06Greg,

The car is much more responsive throughout RPM band. In third gear it definitely pulls harder than before. It was definitely money well spent.

Man, that's so true! I just installed mine and it definately feels more responsive. I only went on streets, so I can't wait to go up on a freeway.

Thanks, Jim!! Much appreciated.:D

It took me a little over an hour, but I was also taking my time because it was so hot. It was kinda hard taking off the fuel line from the filter too. After that it was pretty easy though.
