You have to remember that when I added my first piggyback ecu (Apexi Afc) I picked up 20 ft.lbs. of tq. at 3k rpm because I was sooo lean. I could see Jet being able to fatten the mixture explaining Greg's black lines down the street. In my opinion if you wanted to richen the mixture I would do it mechanically first via larger injectors, Jim's fuel pressure mod, bigger pump or a combo of the three. If I then wanted to control it I would go piggyback just for the sake of being able to adjust the a/f without having to send the ecu off. Its nice to be able to be on the dyno and with the push of a few keys or buttons dial in the mixture want.
For those who don't know I use the Split Second FTC-1 and the nice feature is the ability to pull timing (Cali only has 91 octane and I like my knock sensors to stay in one piece) as well as being able adjust your fuel.
