I would get NGK or Denso multiground platinum.

Notice it's the same style as the OEM ones. If anything it's the same one. OEM has NGK if I remember.

BTW... when your plugs go out, you will know it. Your car will misfire and the check engine light will come on and it will become very slugish at everything shy of full throttle.

I have the NGK's and after 8K miles on a new motor, 3 of them went out.

And also, how much should I pay a garage to put the plugs and wires in for me if I buy them myself? In other words, what would be the standard labor rate for service like this?

^Wires, if kept away from the exhaust, should last the life of the car. However, few wires survive for more than 5-7 years under the constant heat. Check them for cracks in the rubber covering or separation from the boot. They should last for some large measure of time with proper care...
