I got the 99, v6 5-speed. when im using that car its all good but when im idealing i hear an anyoing sound coming out of the clutch, its almost like a "sqweek". when i press the clutch again it goes away. i let go it makes that sound again. now i bought this car with some mileage on it so i think i might have to replace the clutch. but i wanted to know if their is anything else associated with this noise. Also if i where to replace it is their anythig else i should consider buying? also what type of clutch should i buy?[/quote]

one more thing. the clutch usally feels pretty stiff, but when i drive the car for some time, something goes diffrent. i was driving yesterday and the clutch felt very light. very very light. i like it better soft but i think that if just does that then that no good. any insight folks?

....is your clutch fork 'throw-out' bearing. I see you performed the routine 'test': in neutral, clutch in = no noise. Let the clutch out (still in nootral right?); you've got noise.

For what it's worth (dude): I had a 'Vette when I was a Naval officer; did the same thing. Never did replace anything. If you can live with the noise I'd do nothing.

2000 SE-V6 manual w/ 215's (fuel efficiency like the four.....30-33 HWY)

my v6 clutch is stiff too, and depressed down pretty long, deep, it just feel different than my other camry.

Im gonna tell you the truth, i hate all the little noises i hear that are not normal. i know that i didnt buy a lexus or a higher class car in general but still i am willing to go to extents to make sure the car does not make any addtional noises that would disrupt me. any idea how much it would be to fix this problem?
