ONE MORE THING....... sound domain is a BUSINESS!!! if they carry a profitable line.....guess what.they are going to say good things about it!

Will a sony headunit sound worse than my current stock system?

p.s. sorry for resurrecting this old post which should clearly have been started in audio/video section. I found it during a search and posted a reply without noticing the catergory it was in. Maybe a mod can move this for us.

You're the reason why Lexus/Infiniti/Acura exist in the US

$/= quality, and even if it does, I'm not made of money here, i go to school, find me a better headunit for the price. I have a feeling i'll be waiting for that response for quite awhile. I'll go online now, and find you like 5-10 headunits for $250 that look cooler...

my pioneer unit is actually quite simple visually. Not many buttons on the face plate, and it's only one color, no flashy animation, nothing. You obviously know nothing about this headunit.

oh, and the $80 for a new headunit is a cute thing to know, but with the 1 year manufacturer warrantee and 2 year circuit city one, i doubt i'll ever be using that, thanks though.

OK, here we have the uber-stylish pioneer unit

Look, it has a knob and some buttons, even an EQ curve (god i'll never use that) and a volume level on the sides (how worthless, you're right they just cram this thing with worthless features...)

Wow, all this futuristic styling in the kenwood with the special patterned bars for the EQ (obviously necessary) They obviously didnt spend a second trying to make this unit look good. My pioneer looks cooler easily!!!

another kenwood with a motorized face plate and a "fine-dot fluorescent display" Obviously both of these were designed for higher sound quality and not for style...

I could keep picking units that look cooler than mine all day. Mine was an affordable headunit that delivers incredible sound quality for my money, and i can put the $100 or so i saved on this headunit into speakers and it'll sound better than any of these.

and as for the customer reviews...........would you listen to everyone you talk too? you quite apparently will listen to someone you know NOTHING about, as oppossed to me, who is attempting to HELP!!!!!! i apologized for coming off rudly, thats not how i meant it, so lay off, either read the post and learn something about the stuff in your frigin car, or ignore it and dont read it.

oh sorry, i guess I do listen to everybody (friends who compete w/ stereo's) (friend who works at a very good car stereo shop)

I should throw it all away and listen to you who's never heard this particular headunit if I'm correct and is just badmouthing pioneer as a company.
