Carbon Fiber Hood?

Are you planning to mount them to a CF hood? I believe the hood is too light to use the hydraulic lifts.

nah with factory.

just need to look at mounting points or get some good pics to figure where to drill holes.

as for them being too strong for the carbon fiber hood, thats why we have hood pins ;)

The reason why you can't use factory hood struts is bcuz theres too much pressure on the hood when theh ood is closed, or so they say.

the shop that put my hood pins on said i can leave my hood struts on, and it wouldnt interefer with anythin cuz of the pins.

The pins help holding the hood down, but it doesnt help with relieving the pressure placed on the frame of the c/f hood. Its fiberglass isnt it?

yep. them struts can pop right throught that new CF hood of yours! but at least the hood won't fly open....
