Really anyone who would know... does our check engine light come on around 60K miles for a tune up notice type of thing > hoping you bring it to the dealership to get the light turned off and maintained?

No it doesn't. If you did get a CEL at 60k, it might be a sign that maintence is needed, some of which may have been included in the 60k tune up.

The CEL doesn't turn on just to remind you to get service. Some cars, like a caddy on the otherhand, tell you when you need an oilchange and stuff like that.
