Question about Struts/Springs/Coilovers

So I was wondering what are the best brand for lowering/suspension, I asked around about Tokico's, and most of my friends say they're pretty good but not top of the line... so what kinds/brands are good?

Your friends are not informed on this matter. Tokicos are excellent.

so are they pretty much top of the line? I mean I don't have tons of money to throw at it but, I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more if there were better qual ones, what do most of you guys have?
and what should I do about springs?
From what I looked into eibachs are pretty solid

Well its either you pay over 1 grand or so for a coilover set (JIC, Ground Control, whatever) or you pay under 100 each strut for Tokico. Tokico are very dependable and quality. There are lesser quality struts you could get, but not much higher up.

you want the best?

JIC FLT A2.

however for the spring strut combo, i favor eibach and tokico the most.

tokico are the main ones out, however some people have kyb.

well it looks like I can find eibach springs for around 200 on ebay, and tokico's for 290 (in the GB thread from RPM Revolution).... that is substantially less than JIC FLT A2's... do you think the difference is worth like a 500$ difference?

coilovers are in a different league than spring/strut combos.

imho, coilovers are worth the extra pinch.

ask milton. aka the mad installer.

regardless to what all yall say, tokicos really aren't the best struts. they just happen to be one of our only choices.

It's the best of the choices that are offered if you choose the spring/strut setup. If you want real handling, look into spending more and getting coilovers. Full adjustability in height and dampening force is quite useful for those weekends you want to autocross and the weekdays you want a comfy ride =D (Tein, of course... the FLT-A2 are a biznatch to adjust!!!!!)

If you got patience to save money for the coilovers, it'll be so worth it. I'm going to be changing out my Eibach/KYB setup. IMO, they handled pretty well. I will be going with coilovers because nothing can be the adjustablility of ride height.

i agree, if u got the money go with the coilovers. the gap in my front drives me crazy sometimes with my trd suspension.
