Welcome :D Although the Solara is not the most popular in the aftermarket world, there are quite a bit of things you can do. When I first started modding my car, I went to cardomain.com and checked out the pics of the Solaras there. If you search around here, you will find quite a bit too. Some of the usual mods around here: supercharger, intake, exhaust, clear corners, springs and struts or coilovers, TRD strut brace, TRD rear sway bar, Whiteline front sway bar, bodykits (TRD or aftermarket), indiglo or reverse gauges, HID's, headers, ypipe. There's more, but I think you get my point. Good luck!

Welcome neighbor. Around where in Tn are you from? What kinda mods are you wanting to do? You want performance? Looks? There's not a whole lot of variety we can do but enough to make them look a lot better than most cars out there and out run some of them at the same time.

im from nashville tennessee home of sucky country music lol. what i want to do with my solara is make a car that looks nice and also has good power(enough to take on lets say a modded civic si or an rsx type-s). i have already ordered some kazera kz-v 17s in silver and they should be in next week. as goes my budget im thinking around maybe some lowering springs, cai, exhaust. i was also wondering if the TRD stuff is good or should i buy aftermarket stuff instead.

Get a s/c if you want enough power to beat a modded civic and rsx-s. The popular setup here for spring/strut are Tein/Tokico. The TRD and Eibach springs do leave a bigger gap in the front and the Tein gets it even. There are coilovers but they run from $1200 to 1500. For the CAI, we've got the Injen short-ram w/a CAI extension piece made by a member named Danny. Click here for info. Most here have an aftermarket exhaust/catback system, like the Greddy, Apex, Tanabe, or JIC. The TRD exhaust is nice, but not much on perfomrance for the money. I'd say most TRD things are ok, just overpriced. The only TRD things I have are the s/c, TRD boost gauge (from the Tundra), strut brace, and front sway bar.
