I have been installing bulbs forever and I dont understand why my fog light bulbs keep blowing out i've gone with 3 sets already in the last 6 months, its getting pricy now. Any info. or advise if anyone struggling with the same issue. Am I running too much voltage? Thanks

-ps all bulbs were name brand good quality

just use stock bulbs

are you touching the glass of the bulb when you install it?

do you drive w/ fogs on as much as daytime running lamps?

If thats not the case check for water. My fog light blew because I had a crack in the housing and the foglight would collect water when it rained. Popped out the fog, sealed it with silicone and put a new oem bulb in, being sure not to touch the glass of course.

Oil from your hands gets on the bulb surface, which gets VERY hot. The oil, when heated up, can cause the bulb to burn.

If thats not the case, Id definitly check the housing since it seems you have been using different bulbs with the same result.

i had the same problem with my celica fogs for the longest time..and then i posted on celica.net was told that if i use 100w h3's they blow out faster...I searched and special ordered 55w h3's for my celica fogs, and they worked great ever since.

ya i think thats the problem cuz im running like 120 so it bits ......also i never drive with my day timers so it hurts ....haha

I think fog recommended bulbs are for 55W.

Hey do you have a HID kit? My Fogs don't wana go back on since I installed the kit. They were Nokya 70w hyper yellows. Too many watts for the fogs a?
