I once had a crack in the tranny cooler in the tank of my radiator, and the higher pressure coolant got into my tranny and killed it. Isn't Red + greeen = orange?

well the overdrive was working then it just stopped.... When I start my car it goes into drive and everything, but from park I can turn it on/off and have the light turn on and off, but once it hits drive, it stays off

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I think that since your light indicating OD is off is turned on, the transmission mechanicals are fine. You've got an electrical problem -- most likely the relay controling the OD. If it was "fried OD", the light wouldn't be on.

yeah it would... I left my house and it was working fine.. then after about 10 miles I felt it kinda pull me back when I was going about 75... I thought nothing of it.. then at the next light I took off real fast and then when it went to drop it into overdrive it reved up and down trying to drop it into overdrive, but then after it couldn't get it in, it stopped trying.. I think its fried.. I think it noticed that it wasn't engaging so it disabled it for a bit to see if it would fix... still not runnin

where would the electrical problem be at?? I was working under my dash by the wheel... but I looked up there...

also the light will only turn on when it goes into drive.. in reverse, park and neutral it doesn't do it... then in D, 2, and 1 it lights it up automatically

I looked it up in my Haynes manual, but it wasn't much help. They don't show the circuit for the OD On/Off switch, it just says "See electronically controlled transmission..." and that section isn't in the book. It does say that when switched off the light should be on all the time, no matter what gear. So it still seems like a wiring issue. Sounds like you need someone at Toyota to look at it.
