Anyone have Q-tech? My buddy with it in his Celica opened it up for me today, it sounded sweet runnin straight headers! He said it only costs like $250 too. For those who dont know what it is, it is a switch that allows you to (on command) either run with your cars exhaust system or not, just hit a switch and dump your exhaust out the headers. Well, I just wanted to see if anyone had it or thought about it.

I don't think anyone one here has it, but a lot of fbody guys use it.

Its commonly refered to as cut-outs and it sounds amazing on a v8 :D

to talk to some guys that have it goto:
www.ls1.com
www.ls2.com
www.ls1tech.com
...there are many more

We also have a gen 2 member on the boards who is a moderator at ls2 and I'm sure he can help you out with info on cutouts.

BTW, $250 is expensive. Electronic cut outs should be about $150

i've heard various opinions on if they're legal or not? Is it true that as long as you dont use it on the street it's legal?

my buddy w\ the Z28 has it.. but its not a switch.. he just takes off 4 bolts, and takes a cover off... he reved his engine at a kid on a bike, and some kids walking, and they screamed so loud.. it was hilarious.. the little kid nearly fell off his bike
