V6 Auto Tranny problems???

Has anyone had any AT problems? If so, what have they been?
Any rebuilds or trips to AAMCO (or the likes)? What has the cost been?

I've got 93K and no problems whatsoever...how long can I expect my tranny to go for?[/code]

Change the fluid every 30k and you should be fine -- it's a TOYOTA!

I dropped the tranny pan, replaced the filter, and flushed all the old fluid out about 1K ago. Did it at 30K, 60K, and now 92K.

I'm curious to know realistically how long these trannies can go for.

Any high mileage owners have any info?

I don't have a lot of miles, only about 25K ON MY 2001 Solara SLE. The S/C went on at 100 miles, and latest Dynojet was 274.9 at the front tires. I use synthetic ATF, and a Permacool cooler, and it runs perfect. The Toyota AT is pretty tough. I rarely see a Toyota AT go bad.

I have a 99 with an auto and 40k miles on it. She's doing great! A couple times I thought I had tranny problems but it was a misunderstanding  . Supercharged at 7psi. I had my valve bodies recalibrated and have a 2000rpm stall converter. -JoeB
