Seatbelt in Solara

Postby Gunman » Fri Nov 29, 2002 10:50 pm

those are the worst, i was dragging my cousin a long time back, and it was really close but i started to pull away and the next thing i knew, im clipped in my rear coner panel and the car starts flipping over and over, this seemed like forever, people say at least 15 times, at first i though he was mad cause i was winning but his tire blew out and sent his nose to my rear, and by that time i was close to 100 if not more :o talk about 5-6 longest seconds of your life, i was pretty well banged up but more pissed at losing my car, hey it could of been worst. how i wasnt flung out ill never know.

ahhh..thanks! my coworkers always joke in work that if they broke down they'd wanna get me..they say i'm too nice to my customers..lol..like that's a bad thing! really..i mean i can't really say that i blame the people for yelling (although some people you just wish you could track down and strangle them till they have no life left in them!). I don't see any reason to yell back at them, it just upsets them more..i don't like to hang up w/ the customer thinking that i'm a bi*ch or that i'm not trying to help them..they can think what ever they want about me, but i don't want them to think that i'm not gonna do all that i can for them. back to my theory on customer serv reps..be nice to them! if you get someone like me i'll take care of you if you're nice!

omg...thanksgiving i had the worst call.i felt so bad! lady in brooklyn locked her keys in her car on the corner of two roads..no one was around, nothing was open, she's calling from a payphone, in a skirt, in minus degree weather. i got a 45min eta and she was so nice and was so cold to the point where she couldn't think..i attempted to convince the police to send a crusier to her so she could at least sit in it, but you know ny..it was no use...i tried calling some of her family for her since all her money was in the car, but i couldn't get a hold of her. the poor thing..i felt so bad..so i talked to her for a while cause she really didn't wanna hang up..i think talking on the phone gave her something to keep her mind off the cold. eventually tho, i had to hang up, we're emergency roadside, so i can't stay on the phone forever. she was so nice..she was like "omg! thank you so much..just talking to me made me feel so much better!"...ahh..kill me! i felt bad after like i should called more tow facilites to see if i could find a better time...later in the day i kept wondering if everything worked out, but i had no # to call her back :(

take it as a lesson! lol

Gotta do the belt. Makes it safe...I guess. You guys are right though, how come there's a belt warning for the passenger, but not the driver??

Really? Which car are you talking about? My warnings come up on both sides if the car has started and seatbelts arent worn yet.

on seatbelts........i once saw an accident on an intersection where even though it was a head-on collision, there was someone spreadeagled halfway under one of the cars. I thought it was a pedestrian who was hit but occured to me that it was one of the drivers. So seatbelts? Yes... ! how often..Always. !

I always wear my seat belt. If I can't for some reason I feel like I'm on a roller coaster with out the bar holding me in, In turn I kind of instintively hold on to any thing I can. I'm 5'5" and the seat belt fits just fine even with the power seat all the way down. Missy, do you have yours up all the way?

It's Massachsetts, they will enforce it. I once got a ticket on my bicycle there.

I used to be a bike courier in Boston, I got a ticket for going the wrong way on a one way street. I got pulled over in this 3-wheeled golf cart looking cop mobile. It was kinda funny minus the ticket.

Easily, kinda wish I had. But you get your courier licence through the police department and there's a big orange licence plate that goes on the bike(no joke). I probably would have been out of a job if he had called it in.

lol..hell no! hahah..nah, all the my guy friends say i scare them cause i drive too fast and they say it looks like i can hardly reach the steering wheel :P i don't recline it really far back tho, but i don't like being super close to the wheel (back to that stupid airbag phobia..you should sit at least 12inches from the steering wheel to your breast bone..lol..i sit a lot further away than that! you know how fast those things blow up in your face!? you really should wear your seatbelt w/ em..but that's another story..hehe)

i forgot to check today..i briefly thought about putting my seatbelt on, but then i forgot. w/ the winter here tho, i'll be wearing it when it snows..(and w/ that stupid law! i live next door to a cop too..i bet he'd give me a ticket pulling out of my driveway or street..hahah.he really would too!) then again, it snowed out the other day and i didn't put it on..but i did drive A LOT slower just in case there was black ice! i hate living on a hill!
