Spark Plugs
Toyota says 60k with platinum plugs? Is this premature? Can I extend it to 90k and get it done when I get my timing belt done? Jon.

Cyanide41 wrote:You should change your plugs at 60k. Other wise you will lose performance and gas milage. When is the timing belt suppossed to be changed? I thought toyota says 100k

Mechanics have told me dealer recommended is always too short so I was thinking 90k do both, but I might do 70k both? or have the dealership worry about it and follow the 60/90k schedule. Jon. btw are there any 90k plugs we can use on our cars?

I was wondering where the spark plugs are located. This is a pretty dumb question, but I have no idea. As soon as you open up the hood, are they the three little boxes in front of the small plastic engine cover? If those are the front plugs where are the rear plugs? Are the rear plugs in front of or under the intake manifold??? Are they somewhere under the plastic engine cover. If anyone has diagrams or something I really need some help because I want to learn to do it myself. I tried using the search function, but didn't find anything, sorry if it's already here somewhere. Thanks a lot in advance!
