TRD short shift to TWM shortty

I just swapped out my TRD Short Throw Shifter for a TWM Short Throw Shifter. This TWM part is even better than the TRD part! My shifts are far faster, and much shorter. The only negative (because I have short, stumpy arms) thing is the TWM puts the shift knob even lower than the TRD did. The TWM part is much cheaper though. I bought mine for $130.45 with shipping. www.TWMPerformance.com

Does this shifter include a knob by default? I've added it to my cart and it asks me to add a shift knob. I just want to make sure it has one before I get this bad boy.

No, it doesn't come with any knob. Just the shifter itsefl.
However, you can use your stock knob for it though. Or you could go to TRDpart4u.com to buy the round carbon fiber TRD knob for $20.

That is what I have with the TWM short shifter.

Okay I figured. I'll just get the TRD knob then. Thanks.

You can buy it with, or without the shift knob. The TWM's are adjustable, and weighted (so your shift pushes harder, making it faster). I did not buy the TWM part, I am currently using the TRD knob that came with my TRD short shifter, but will be buying an all wood MOMO Sphere ( http://www.momo.it/Momo/pomelli/grandi/ ... elegno.jpg) knob because it is freakin' pretty! A MOMO Shiter boot ( http://www.momo.it/Momo/pomelli/grandi/ ... ntara3.jpg ), and last but not least, a matching wood MOMO brake lever ( http://www.momo.it/Momo/pomelli/grandi/ ... _legno.jpg ). You don't want to use a shift know that is too tall, or else it will eliminate the "short" of the "short shifter." The only difference 'tween the short shifters and the factory shifter is the pivot point. The short shifters are longer on the bottom side, and shorter on the top. If you balance a stick between two fingers on one hand, and move it with the other hand from the top, then stop and move the hand holding the stick further up the stick, you'll find you dont have to move the other hand as far to have the lower end of the stick reach the same point. So if your shift know is too tall, you will cancel out the shorter shifting of the short shifter (was that hellishly repetitive or what?).
Here is a link to a photos of TWM's shift knobs ( http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshif ... y_l_pp.jpg )
