I've done it before, just not on a Solara.
If I remember correctly to take the door panal off, there are 2 screws on the bottom, one where the handle to pull the door closed is and behind the door release hinge.
Then with a little force you pull off the door panal (keep in mind the panal has those plastic pins or clips...whatever you call them to secure the panal to the door.
....from there your gonna have access to the electrical stuff.....speakers, tweeter, window switches, etc.. Behind all of that is the track for the window.
You might need to remove a metal sheet that keeps the wires and stuff away from the window by unscrewing a few more screws.
On the bottom of the window there should be a few holes that are there to keep the window in the track when you open and close it. Make sure that its installed correctly and be careful because that sheet of glass can break on you or pieces of it can chip if your not careful.......then from there check to make sure its on the track and you should be good.
To put the entire door back together, just work backwards from what you did to get to the window......and from there you should be good.
** Once again, what I've said there might be a few differences but I've done this on a BMW, Benz, Lexus, Jeep, Celica and a few Honda's so the process is pretty much the same, I might have left out a few things but for the most part its how to do it **
Hope this is helpful to you..............
