Please video tape that for those of us on the other side of the country. Maybe some high quality DV from two cameras and make a DVD out of it, because it will be a moment to remember.

Thanks everyone for the support especially JoeB who's my electronics guy. If anyone needs help with that kind of stuff JoeB is the man! 8)

I'll try to answer a few of the questions:

I can't cut the bumper any higher or else it will show that black frame sitting right above the intercooler.

I own a martial arts school that has over 200 students.

I got pretty good deals on the parts/turbos/couplers/intercooler piping from ebay and www.treadstoneintercoolers.com Ptuning in Manassas, VA hooked me up with the Greddy emanage Ultimate. www.ptuning.com

"tabasco" will be running 550cc RC Engineering injectors and a 255lph fuel pump. (my 370cc RC Engineering injectors and 190lph fuel is up for sale)

Our ultimate goal is to now run 11s in the 1/4mile and dyno up to 500 FWHP. But of course we'll take it one step at a time. The T66 is capable of up to 700hp.

I agree with my man JoeB. We're doing this for the passion of street tuning and the Solara Community. I told him that if there was anyone else that deserves taking the #1 1mz-fe spot its him. His car is a beast with the NOS setup and when he gets it tuned to its maximum potential he'll be up to 400FWHP easily. Also, keep in mind that his car is a beast with an automatic! I would personally like to run against (I'm sure JoeB feels the same too) other cars that people don't expect a true 1mz-fe Solara to beat.

I'm going to try to make a push for JoeB and I to make our cars in the magazine. I've got some things lined up for the next two month's show and race schedule. I plan to push for the NOPI nationals if my schedule allows me to.

Rizal & JoeB

Postby ProRally Codriver » Thu Aug 11, 2005 9:09 pm

I enjoy my front row seat watching Rizal & JoeB help each other while at the same time trying to outdo the other each weekend I'm hanging out @ Arrieta's shop.

Rizal goes supercharged, JoeB replies with supercharger & nitrous, Rizal answers back with turbo, then the ball will be back in JoeB's court. Betcha he already has some more electronic mods brewing. JoeB is the electronics wiz and has tweaked power outta several other Solaras.
I've been at the track watching them get quicker and improve on their times and been there at the dyno. It just keeps getting better.

It won't be long before we see both cars on some magazine cover.
Congrats to both.

BTW, noticed those pics of Carlos Jr. . Very photogenic. Any chance he has a sister?

Meet

Postby JMSinMaryland » Sat Aug 13, 2005 5:32 am

Let me know when you're going to take it to the track. Maybe we'll arrange a mini meet. I also have to find a picture I took years ago of a Jeep Wrangler "Tabasco" edition. I'll have it next time we meet. Jon.

Ladies and gentlemen this is Dave Shindle. He's married to Carlos Arrieta's sister. Good to see you here Dave and thanks for everything. 8)

Hey Dave. Any chance you can help me wire the greddy emanage ultimate on my car? The unit is sitting at AMSport and I think it may help squeeze out more power than the SAFC II on your 4g63 rally car. Check it out.

Hey Rizal (is that your name, or a handle, or what- sorry!

I live in B-More now, and I know very little about all the wonderful things people can do to and with our Solaras. Think I might be able to come down to where you are (in Alexandria, right?) and just chill around the shop, maybe learn something from you? I mean, if I could do that without getting in the way. I'd be like a little-brother type thing.

Or, in fact, anybody else in the MD-VA area who wants to show me some ropes!
