I wouldn't necessarily even need mine. I could buy one relatively cheap. The transmission worries me more than the engine. I have no doubts the engine would surpass 200k like a champ, but the tranny is another issue.
This will be all very difficult to work out as I still don't know what insurance is going to say about my car (I was supposed to know yesterday) and there's going to be a hurricane coming in soon, and I doubt if I could even get an opportunity this weekend to go look at the car. I would be hardpressed to buy and ebay car with those miles without driving it. Under 50k yeah I'll put my money down, but not like that.
I'd probably get a repaint to black. And I kind've like the way my retrofitted 1.5 valences fit better. Maybe it would look different black, but I'd probably end up swapping kits and selling the gen 1 kit, and selling those rims. The good thing about that is I know I'd have buyers

. Another nice thing is that I'd have the dark interior. Then a few years down the road when that car is going downhill I'd buy a new 1mz and build it, swap a manual transmission in, and boost it. Not a bad plan, but I don't even know if I'll have that kind of money by then. On the upside, if my car is totaled I won't end up with a lot of money and that car looks liek ti would be my best value for what I'll end up getting. I'm calling the insurance agent handling my case tomorrow to see what's up. Of course best case, my car gets fixed, but I think that's a good backup plan, no?
