Hello All,

As we, all know the major problem with our TRD Supercharger is heat. Running anything other then the stock pulley and the heat increase can quickly get to the point where you loose instead of gain performance.

Several times, there has been discussions about an intercooler for our application but that is where it started and stopped. Well I decided to do something about it. I purchased a new TRD SC and sent it to a gentleman who is in the process of modifying my SC to accommodate a liquid intercooler.

wow... that's pretty nice to hear.

How would you go about purchasing a new trd s/c? I heard that they are pretty impossible to come by.

Yeah i know.
Where i got my TRD RSB, they still had the S/C on the site as brand new for $2000 somethin'.
Better price than $3000 when it first came out.

They are very hard to come by but I finally found one. I didn't want to attempt this modification on anything other then a brand new one.

the chemistry is not there

I will because he has provided me the test data for the two prototypes he modified. Also another major supercharger builder stated they witnessed the testing.

How much money you want to lose? Who you going to borrow your betting money from, Dad or Mom?

One question. It is not difficult for a reputable company fimiliar with forced induction to intercool our trd s/c. They will have your supercharger but will not have your car??? They can produce the most efficient cooler out there but if it doesn't then fit in the car, where are you?
The space behind the supercharger toward the fire wall is very limited. To sandwich an inline intercooler- ie- not front mount , takes up space and that is very limited. I love the sound of this but. . . .they didn't request to have your car?

nvm, if your guy does it right you can gain some hp actually

theres a happy medium between how much cooling effect you want and how much parasitic drag you want to put on the rotating assembly

new bet, gains will not be above 20hp with this unit alone

now what does your pocketbook say?
