It's official...
I'm sort've boosted, if you want to call it that. I finally got around to installing my nitrous today.

The universal kit I got made a few things kind've har,d ran intoa huge delay (about a 5 hour or so one) with the fuel line. WTF is up with the plastic inside of it? I first tried just cutting down on the plastic and calmping the hose onto the T bar, but the hose is just an insulator, and can't handle fuel pressure. Several attempts and broken clamps later I decided I needed to go buy new fuel line, which I did. Then it was still leaking at the part that adjoins the plastic with the metal line going into the fuel rail. After trying several different ways to patch it and starting the car about 6 times with fuel going EVERYWHERE, I finally got that worked out. For now I have all the wiring under the hood uncluding the switch and lines going to the fuses. It's very ghetto rigged right now, but I just wanted to get it working tonight to go to the track, which ended up not happening because of how long it took me. Soon I'll fix everything up and touch up the rough spots. I'll also get a new switch and mount it in the actual car this time. I also need to seal off the hole that runs the Nitrous line into the trunk better. So 2 trips to several different auto stores, and a full ten hours later everything works. I'm confident I could do it in 1/4 of the time now, it was just hard to feel things out.
Now to the fun part. I decided to only run a 50 shot until I get a new fuel pump so I wasn't expecting much. Anyway... HOLY crap! On only a 50 shot bye bye traction in first gear on relative new Kuhmos. The funny thing is before I got too much power to keep the car steady from a stop, but now because of the nitrous going from a 20 roll or so I definitely stand a better chance of getting traction from a stop in first gear over a roll. As for second gear, I only ever used to feel a strong pull in a few spots, now it pulls me back throught eh WHOLE damn gear. I didn't have the time or road space to test out the rest of the gears. I don't even want to know what's going to happen when I get the 100 shot going.
Anywho, I'll stop my happy ramblings here. All materials included, a little over 500 dollars and about 15 man hours (spark plugs and install included) and an elapsed month and a half later, and I'm happy as I can be with my nitrous. I just need to get that 190lph fuel pump from URD and slap on the hundred shot and go kill me some mustang GTs.
