Help, intake install

Postby gutt1dre » Sun Sep 24, 2006 12:21 pm

I just bought a Option (ebay) SRI and am looking for instructions on installing it on my 2001 4cyl solara. I know there is a old topic about this but the link doesn't work. Can someone help me.

A little "loose"? There should NEVER be any opportunity for ambient air to get either PULLED into the intake between a boot/hoseclamp seam or pressurized air escape from within...

What do you mean by LOOSE?

Basically, the clamp should be very snug, but not enough to "damage" or "cut into" the boot itself. (Does that make sense?)

NOTE: The TIGHTER you make it BEYOND the requirements of a good, secure seal... the shorter your longevity of the boot, in many cases.... but by all means, don't make it LOOSE to where the band can be rotated or the boot moved.

My thots...

And we are here to help, believe me... but you have to do your part too in reading the procedures already set in place about posting in the different forums. Anyway, I figured by now you were able to put it in correct?
