Couldn't you at least make it a Portillo's or somewhere worthy of meeting? When starting a call for a meet, always pick somewhere easy to find, interesting to those attending, located in a safe area and most importantly, a decent parking lot to gather cars.

For example: The McDonald's HQ in Oakbrook has a restaurant across from the mall. (Two floors, a coffee bar, flat panel TVs everywhere, etc...) Every week, that Mickey D's has a classic car show. Why not pick that night for a meet up?

Another suggestion: Meet up somewhere and organize a back roads drive to a place of interest. (Like the Volo Auto Museum north of Schaumberg.)

Next February, organize a me

et to go to the Chicago AutoShow and then to a blues bar at night.

These are just some suggestions to help get peeps to show up. (But don't ask me for suggestions in your town, I live hundreds of miles away. )

OMFG i havnt had portillos in soooooo long......

Initial rally point could be Gurnee Mills (right off the highway) then roll north another 30min to the strip. Those that want to run get into inspection, those that don't head to the stands. Then we can pretty much try to stay in line together for runs so it's like a moving car show.

Just a thought.

This sounds cool too. This way, I can go to the Brat Stop in Kenosha. Haven't been there in ages. I miss a lot of the food from Chicago.
White Castles
Portillos
El Famous Burrito
Rosattis Pizza

I'm all for a race at either track. Then I can prove that I do have a QuickSEV6. ha ha

You know, Abt Electronics has won multiple car electronic installation awards.

I hate to have to post these things every 5 or 10 minutes, but Abt will give things to look at well beyond just the cars.

^ yeah but wouldn't the mall give us a place to relax and hang back, maybe shop around etc etc?
plus there's always hooters nearby.. and other good places :D

so how about we take a vote and finally decide where the meet will take place? here are you options:

1. Woodfield Mall
2. Abt Electronics
3. Great Lakes Dragaway
4. Chicagoland speedway
5. White Castle in Downers Grove...lol j/k

lets decide on a spot. the place w/ the most votes wins and then no one can complain. after that well set up a time.
almost there...what do you think?

I vote Woodfield Mall.
reason is most people I'm assuming know how to get there.
many places to shop, many places to eat, and many things to do like arcade, movies (not for that day though lol) and whatever else.

hahah s15 i knew you were gonna say the white castle. let's leave that out for this meet.

Woodfield mall is fine with me too. I haven't been there in over 4 years, but I bet its pretty much the same.
And I forgot about Hooters there too.

Just to make it interesting, lets have a bet. The most stock car buys a round of beer. Ha ha ha.
